Multiuser Temporal Resource Allocation Scheme Using Link Layer Effective Capacity for QoS Provisioning Systems

چکیده
The explosive growth of wireless network users and the existence of various wireless services have demanded high throughput as well as user’s quality-of-service (QoS) guarantees. In accordance with, this paper proposes a novel resource allocation scheme improving both the capability of QoS-provisioning for multiple users and the overall data throughput. Towards this, the modified resource allocation technique combined with the modified largest weighted delay first (M-LWDF) scheme will be exploited upon considering statistical channel behavior as well as real time queuing analysis connected to resource allocation. In order to verify the validity of the proposed resource allocation scheme, the time division multiple access (TDMA) system will be considered as a target application. The simulation results confirm that the proposed scheme gives rise to superior performance in a way of showing results of several performance measures under time-varying wireless fading channel. key words: multiuser diversity, TDMA, resource allocation, scheduling

New generation mobile communication networks have the ability of supporting triple play. In order that, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) access techniques have been chosen to enlarge the system ability for high data rates networks. Many of cross-layer modeling and optimization schemes for Quality of Service (QoS) and capacity of downlink multiuser OFDM system were proposed. In ...
متن کاملAn Effective Queuing Model Based Bandwidth Allocation Scheme for Fair Qos Provisioning in Lte Systems
In this paper, we propose a novel bandwidth allocation scheme that will guarantee quality-of-service (QoS) support in the downlink (DL) of a LTE-A system. The proposed scheme is developed based on a queuing model that links important performance metrics of DL service flows of LTE-A systems to a set of tunable parameters. Based on the outcome of the results of the queuing model, the performance ...

In recent years the concept of the effective capacity that relates the physical layer characteristics of a wireless channel to the data link layer has gained a lot of attraction in wireless networking research community. The effective capacity is based on Gärtner-Ellis’ large deviation theorem and it is used to provide the statistical QoS provisioning in the wireless networks. Effective capacit...

A dynamic resource allocation algorithm to satisfy the packet delay requirements for real-time services, while maximizing the system capacity in multiuser orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems is introduced. Our proposed cross-layer algorithm, called Dynamic Subcarrier Allocation algorithm for Real-time Traffic (DSA-RT), consists of two interactive components. In the medium ...
